Meet Our Pastor

Reverend Henry McCaskill Jr. served as a Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel, Retired) and Command Chaplain in the United States Army Reserve for over 15 years. As a Chaplain, he served in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Romania, and Bulgaria. Reverend McCaskill also served as the Lead Joint Force Chaplain for the 57th Presidential Inauguration. He retired from the Army Reserve in 2020. Reverend McCaskill also served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He is also a retired US Department of Justice investigator, having served for 24 years.
Education
Reverend McCaskill is a graduate of Troy University-Europe, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He attended the University of Colorado Denver, earning a Master of Criminal Justice Administration. Reverend McCaskill also attended the Denver Seminary as a Master of Divinity student. Later, he attended Liberty University, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies and received a Master of Divinity Equivalency. He is also completing his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University.
Christian Services
Reverend McCaskill’s ministry has included providing religious and pastoral support to thousands of military and civilian personnel overseas and throughout the United States. His ministry outreach included supporting four orphanages in Romania and Bulgaria. Reverend McCaskill has served as an Associate Pastor in both Denver, Colorado, and Monroeville, Alabama. Reverend McCaskill also served as Associate Pastor at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He has served as the Pastor of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Moundville, Alabama, since January 2023.
Reverend McCaskill has a passion for preaching, teaching, and evangelism. He has certifications in suicide prevention, marital, premarital and singles counseling. As an Associate Pastor, Reverend McCaskill established a “Talks My Father Never Had With Me” mentoring program for young Black males in collaboration with the book’s author, Dr. Harold Davis.
Accomplishments
Reverend McCaskill’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and others. He is a graduate of the United States Army Chaplain School, Command and General Staff Officers Course, and the Operational Religious Support Leader Course.
Family
Reverend McCaskill is married to Shirley Ann McCaskill. They have two adult children, Henry III (Jessica) and Jalicia. They have five grandchildren: Henry IV, Julian, Olivia, Vivian, and Karter.
